Client: Catherine De Boise

Overview

Catherine De Boise is a Mornington Peninsula-based fine artist known for her evocative coastal landscapes that capture shifting light, atmosphere and the rhythm of the Australian shoreline.

Alongside original works and fine art prints, Catherine also produces calendars and greeting cards, offers commissioned pieces, and runs both children’s and adult art classes from her relaxing studio in Balnarring, Victoria.

We partnered with Catherine to develop her branding, photography and website — creating a cohesive digital home that would function as a professional portfolio, an online store, an exhibition archive, and a platform to promote her classes and commissions.

The goal was to present her as both a practising, exhibiting artist and an accessible creative presence within her community.

Our Approach

We developed a soft, image-led brand identity supported by professional photography that captured both the artwork and Catherine herself. Putting a face to the name added a human connection to the brand.

The website was structured around five core pillars:

1. Exhibitions & Portfolio
A chronological archive of solo and group exhibitions, demonstrating progression and reinforcing professional credibility.

2. Shop
Integrated e-commerce functionality for original works, limited edition prints, calendars and cards.

3. Classes
Dedicated space outlining children’s and adult art classes, making it easy for local students to learn more and enquire.

4. Commissions & Enquiries
Clear pathways for collectors to request custom pieces or ask about available works.

5. Artist Statement & Philosophy
A considered space for Catherine’s creative voice - sharing her connection to landscape, light and place.

The backend was built to be intuitive, and training was provided so Catherine could update exhibitions, manage stock and upload new work independently as her practice evolved.

The Challenge

Catherine’s practice spans exhibitions, retail products, commissions and teaching. Without a structured digital platform, these elements risked feeling disconnected.

The key challenges were to:

  • Present her solo and group exhibitions in chronological order, reinforcing credibility and long-term collectability

  • Balance portfolio storytelling with e-commerce functionality

  • Position her as both a serious exhibiting artist and an approachable educator

  • Create a platform she could confidently manage herself over time

The site needed to feel calm and reflective of her aesthetic, while also working commercially behind the scenes.

The Results

The finished website positioned Catherine as an established, exhibiting artist with a growing body of work and a documented professional history.

It now functions as:

  • A curated archive of exhibitions that supports credibility and collectability

  • A retail platform for prints and original artworks

  • A promotional hub for art classes

  • A commission enquiry system

  • A centralised digital presence that strengthens brand recognition

By bringing exhibitions, sales, education and storytelling into one cohesive platform, the site supports both the creative and commercial sides of her practice.

Work With Us

For artists and creative professionals, a website should do more than display images. It should document your journey, support sales, build trust and make it easy for people to connect with you.

We design thoughtful, strategically built websites that balance storytelling with functionality - creating platforms that grow with your practice and work for you behind the scenes.

If you’re ready for a digital presence that reflects the depth and professionalism of your work, we’d love to help.
